Vw's are quirky vehicles, especially the vans, but they are great. I have excellent times and performance from mine, that's why I'm not on the list much. But just in the past week, I've been noticing my temp guage going past the half way point to about 3/4. Usually, it can be an 80 degree day and it will stay in the middle, but sometimes it will go to about 3/4 and stay.

I noticed this last week on my way camping, then I stopped to get gas for about 5 or 10 minutes, hopped back in and everything was fine. The guage was at the middle again and fine for the 3 hour drive. This morning it went up again and I'm hoping when I'm out of work later, it will be normal. Any answers??? Is this an air bubble that people talk about frequently causing problems? Water pump going??

Thanks -steve- '84 westy
