Hey all, OK, this is interesting.

I'm wondering if I've had a false alarm or if it's still about to crap out on me.

Today I re-adjusted the valves (hydraulic lifters) on number 1 and did a compression test (cold engine) and got 105 psi. Obviously this number would be even higher on a warm engine. So did I just incorrectly adjust the valves twice before and now I got it right or do I still have a problem?

I took it out on the road and didn't notice an overheating problem. It was raining tho, so I'm gonna try to get a hot dry day to test this further.

I do note, though, that it is now running smoother at idle than I've seen it run in a long time. This is presumably due to the increased compression in number 1.

Also did an oil change. Turns out it was a little overdue!

So tell me, should I be relieved yet or should I still be on the lookout?
