I recently put Wagner BrightLite Xenon sealed beams on my 88 Fox. They are very impressive, the light is whiter and brigther. I was going to do a Hella H4 conversion but the cost was too high ($35 for each lense and about $10 for each bulb). The BrightLights were $17 each for sealed beams, they also had 9004's for $8 each. I would highly reccomend the sealed beam (rectangular) and if the 9004's are anything like these you won't be disapointed. FWIW I have Ion blue 55/100W 9004's in my vanagon alongside 120W Ion blue H3's which are very nice. I did put relays on each set (High/Low) but other than that they are stock DOT low beams. The next time I replace my high beams I'm going with BrightLite's for the H3's but I like the blue low beams.
