It's been awhile since anything has been said about a group purchase.  Is
anyone pursuing this?  The last thread I saw was a list member bowing out
of setting up a purchase because he heard another member was working on it.
 Where are you, "other member".  I am still quite interested and judging
from initial response I think others are too.
