Hi Jim. Thanks for the "welcome" greeting. Your assumption is correct; I live in Victoria, BC. My syncro is classified as an " X " for Kombi, and a " J " 1988. However it is best described as a panel van with windows. Its empty, save for the 2 captain's seats up front. This model comes complete with half a headliner in vinyl! The rest of the van has a type of hardboard on the ceiling and side panels. A couple of other nice touches include power mirrors and power doorlocks. Other than that, its sparse, but ideal as a mobile office. I take it around the province regularly, with tool box. I've only owned it about a year and a half and spent a fair bit on maintenance, often frustrated, but I like this beast alot. Used to have a VR6 Passat Wagon, 5 speed, sport suspension from Nuespeed, which was a joy to drive, but it became too small. Spotted the syncro on a dealer lot one day and took the plunge. Bye the way, I would like to thank you, and other list members for the information that I have found in the archives, before joining the list.

R. Feuerriegel Victoria BC
