Fred Younger says he owns a non-westie and is pained by going into town to buy ice every couple of days.

I am a 86 GL weekender owner and a regular van camper. A few years back I bought a portable Dometic 3-way refrigerator which works great and has ended the problem of melted ice-water in the food. I can now stay in quiet, serene places for extended periods. If I am going to be parked for more than 4 hours, I switch from my 12-volt marine battery to propane or 110 vac if available. A small propane canister will run the unit for 2 to 2.5 days. Since it is a top-loader, it is very efficient even in the desert. It can freeze your orange juice overnight if you forget to turn the thermostat up from max cool.

Keep on camping -- Frank LaHorgue lahorgue@ix.netcom.com "Save a star, kill a light"
