Hi Volks,

I just thought I'd let you all know how my little prodject is coming. Well, it's too hot (92 deg.) to work on my A/C! I'll wait till it cools down....

But I will report where I got my parts and how much it hurt for those of you who might be coming this way and would like to know which shops I patronized.

1.) NAPA of Marathon, FL

Quantity Part Number Description List $ Sale $ Total 2 406002 Fitting 5.72 4.99 9.98 1 406902 Fitting 6.06 5.49 5.49 14' 700058 Hose 2.76 1.99 27.86 4 1089 Labor 2.50 10.00 1 405035 Fitting 6.79 5.99 5.99 1 208307 Drier 32.25 26.99 26.99

Sub Total 86.31 Sales Tax 6.47 Total 92.78

2.) DISCOUNT AUTO PARTS of Marathon, FL

I picked up eight (8) cans of R-134a at a cost of $3.33 each (non-sale price is $4.30 I think).

The guy who is actualy doing the A/C work (I'm doing the grunt-mech. part) does house calls and does this in the evenings. During the day, his reg. job is head of Monroe County Vehicle Maintenance in Marathon, FL. He's the one that makes sure our brave county sherff and deputy officers are cool.

When we are done, I'll let you-all know.

Wishing you-all a cool one....

Tyrone Big Pine Key, FL 87 Van. GL Syncro etc....
