I was looking under my van yesterday and noticed shinny rubb marks on both drive shaft axles where they pass through the trailing arms. This definitely is not supposed to be happening! I have been unable to tell what part of the trailing arm is making contact. Has anybody else encountered this? My apologies if this has been covered in the archives, but I don't currently have browser access. The dirvers side axle has a 1/8" wide score and the passenger side axle has a 1/2" wide score around it. The only unusual thing I've done lately is had the back of the van hike up about 6 inches while attempting to break free locked up parking brakes. Btw, I repalced the rear shoes 3 weeks ago and I am still having the parking brake lock up after it rains (and rain doesn't seem to stop this year). Any input re the axles would be appreciated, I don't like the idea of them breaking! Thanks, Vernon Craddock |
