Evidently, fuel "crept" its way up the filler pipe and was coming out near the top - either around the cap or around a seam very near the top. Now, I refilled the tank 2 days ago and have driven it 20 miles since fill up - so I should have "sucked" down enough gas that it should be down in the tank by now. I'm wondering if some kind of pressure is causing this? Maybe a vacuum leak that should be sucking fumes through the charcoal filter isn't working? The only other symptom that has come up at this same time, is after 5 minutes of running the van down the road, it starts to skip and sputter to the point I have to pull over - no power and then stall. I restart and its fine for a second or two, then starts skipping for another minute, then its fine - no problems. I may have two problems, but they appeared at the same time. Any thoughts or references would be appreciated! Thanks, Dan |
