I can verify this! I also have the window washer on the rear, and I bought two new struts from Ron about 5 months ago. They will hold the hatch open even when it is less than a foot ajar! It takes a good grunt to close it when fully open. Ther're greeeaaatttt! Seems like they'll last forever. Just my .02.
