I have a Propex when there is no hookups but when there are I use one of those little cube heaters that I got at Sears. It was < $50 and has a thermostat (Very important). It warms the van within minutes. I am thinking of 120 vac, NOT 12 vdc. If done properly electric heat should have less hazards then propane or gasoline. It should also be cheaper. One heater I have found: 120 vac 12.5 amps 1500 watts 5,120 btu-Hour With fan & relay $115
Now there is only so much that can be done with a 15 amp camp-ground hook-up but this does compare well with some of the smaller Eberspacher heaters.
