I have done this. Not an back yard mech. thing. To much machining and AL welding. Does not work as well as a true limited slip dif. would. I have not seen a limited slip dif. for the Vanagon. Just a locker by a co called Weld somthing...Or to that effect. A syncro with a true limited slip dif. is the way to go. The dif. must be setup for the Vanagon weight underwise they don't work anybetter than a standard axle. E-mail me If you are truely interested in more.
