I did move a full size bed a ok. a couple of problems. - no air conditioning (1986-1991)?? no problem. :) the queen sized bed will fit FLAT into the rear hatch of the bus. it's tight but the box springs and the mattress will fit. do NOT put them in at an angle and leave them that way ... they'll flop down flat and tear the rubber gasket around the rear hatch. right in front of you. :( ask me how i know. this was in an 1980 bus. - 1986-1991 air conditioning? well ... those vertical rear pillars get in the way, as does the overhead cabinet. BUT!! with the rear seat flat, and the middle seats flipped forward (or out), you can ease the box springs in at an angle, get it past the pillars, and flop it down. then you can easily squnch the mattress in. getting it back OUT is a little more trouble. :) no, it won't go in the sliding door opening. joel |
