Hi Bill, I don't know if this will help with an 84 but I have btdt on an 86. The heater hoses on an 86 (2wd, a/c, manual ) were all 5/8 inch except from Ts up to the rear heater. These hoses are 1/2 inch from the T's up through the van floor then switch to 5/8 inch to accommodate the 5/8 fitting on the rear heater. I recently replaced mine and changed the T's to 5/8 inch on all three points. The old T's were already 5/8 to the engine and to the front heater. My experience is written up for my 86 using an Old Volks Home hose chart , thanks Jim, at http://taos.midwest.net/vw Darrell Boehler Makanda Illinois 86 westy 238K -----Original Message----- From: Monk Bill <BM2AM@AOL.COM> To: Vanagon@VANAGON.COM <Vanagon@VANAGON.COM> Date: Tuesday, June 09, 1998 7:18 AM Subject: heater hoses?
