Went to a country auction this morning. One of the items was a 1984 Westy. I went with the intention of picking up a parts bus cheap. It was stored in the back yard - way back in the woods. Had 32k "origional" miles, no rust, but the yellow paint was very oxidized and covered with black mold from sitting under the trees. The inside was pretty good - upper tent and bed excellent. Seats OK - no tares or spills. Under the rear seat was filled with all kind of camping gear and stuff: tow ropes, blocks, jack planks, chains and flares. Wrong tires - not reinforced. Went for $4200+10%premium. Gary 80 Westy, 88GL |
