This weekend I installed a new wiring harness in my driver side door
(Thanks Kyle).  This fixed my power windows, power mirrors and driver
side front speaker, but not the power lock cycling.  So the next step .
. . it seemed like the driver side motor was working, but not the
passenger side.  I took apart the passenger side motor, it was very
corroded, so I cleaned it and then noticed the sliding copper contact
was not quite touching the opposing copper plates.  It appeared that the
springs on the sliding conact had corroded and collapsed.  I fabricated
new springs and voila! the power locks work again.

Questions:

1. The rubber, bellows-type, gasket at the top of both the driver side
and passenger side lock motors had deteriorated allowing moisture and
dirt to enter the motor.  Has anyone found a good way to fix this?  I am
sure this contributed to the demise of the motor.

2. These motors are sealed pretty tightly.  I didn't reseal it with
anything when I reassembled it.  Should I?  It probably doesn't matter
as long as the gasket at the top is broken.
