I don't think Eric was reacting to the question; he seemed to be taking issue with the (mistaken) assertion that you had to remove the rear hubs in order to replace the brake shoes.

This question has been asked, and answered, probably a dozen times in the couple of years I've been on the list. And it'll probably be asked again a dozen times in the next couple of years.

Each time the question gets asked someone invariably responds "yes, you have to pull the hub." It gets frustrating to see this happening time and time again, but I don't know what to do about it. I don't think telling these folks to "STAY THE " " off the list" is helpful.
