I hope you get this in time for it to be of some use. All VW locks have the key code stamped on them. If you remove the drivers door handle w/lock, clean off the 2 long prongs, you should see a 4 digit number stamped into 1 of the prongs. A good old-fashioned locksmith can look this code up and cut a key to fit. Also, I don't think you need to remove the door panel to get to the handle. I know you don't on the 86 I just pulled off. It is held by one phillips screw which is behind the rubber door seal at the latch. Please don't put a new lock on the drivers door as then the van would need three different keys(at least). If you want to have all of the locks match, it makes more sense to get the ignition lock pins changed to the same as the four other locks! Again, an old-fashioned locksmith can do this but you may need to take the locks in and leave them for a while.
