Well, it's bummer time. Can't make the Classic this year. Westy's packed and ready to go, but I can't.

I have been fighting a temperature, sore throat, bad cold and some sort of bug for the past several days. Feel like I can't get outa first gear, something like that. Went to the doctor today and found I have strep throat and the beginning stages of a sinus infection. Weather here sure hasn't cooperated in this regard, almost like weather mood swings. Sunny and warm in the daytime, evenings and nights are full of humid air, thunderstorms and lightning (lotsa telephone pole fires Wednesday night here in Redding).

So now I'm inhaling the antibiotics and have been told not to do any traveling or heavy work for the next several days. Damn, I was really planning on being there, especially since I'm one of the original sponsors from way back in the beginning. This'll be the 4th year I haven't made it (previous three years were due to being suckered into heavy mis-guided involvement at Bus Boys - don't wanna go there thank you - so p;lease don't start another thread on that).

So - y'all have a nice time. I have a buddy of mine, Cliff Crate that will be using my vendor spot, selling a few tidbits and will also have my business cards and a new Mini-Catalog mad especially for the show chock full of neat odd-ball tidbits. He'll be the one with the 76 High Top Riviera (or is it ASI? I can never remember). A good man, knows his stuff very well concerning splitties.
