scott, what's the dia on the cheap jackstand pins?

another idea, for a something that owuld maybe look sturdier, maybe not as easy to take off, and harder to make, a connector like on a distributor cap. a half-turn j-hook with a heavy spring? and notch out part of the hole so the hook would go thru, and then a heavy spring, and all you'd need to undo it was a hefty flat screwdriver?

my additional $.02 worth. hey if somebody gave me $.02 for every time i said this maybe i'd be rich. (sorry, bad joke and it isn't even friday)
