In Canada at least power and phone lines are supposed to be hung at a minimum of 13.5 feet. I use the tall Thule model bolted to the cap. My bike reachs 10.5' with this setup. Never knew its height until I hooked a thick bundle of phone wires. Phone company was liable, of course. Tore the forward rack half out. The repair shop did a nice job, adding reinforcement and doing a wonderful job on my rear bumper as well. Thank you phone company ;) Phil Menchions '89 Westy |
