Most often the brushes simply need replacing. In worse cases, the bushings can be replaced also. If you're not up to doing it yourself, you should be able to find a local automotive electrical shop that can do it for you at a much better price than buying a new one, and should be more reliable than a used one. The last one I had done cost $35US, and the last one I did myself cost me about $10US for parts. Good luck, Larry |
