that's funny, cause i know a Porsche mechanic who refuses to allow Bosch plugs in his shop! :) he uses only Champion plugs in his customers' cars.

i used Champions for about 20 years in vw's with no problems at all. used Bosch also, every now and then. no problems at all. i did have some problems with some Autolite plugs that one "mechanic" put in.

but i've used Bosch now for about the last ten years or so, and have no problems with them at all. but i know folks who use NGK plugs in their Golf and Jetta cars with no problems ... maybe NGK just doesn't like the head temps of the air cools??
