I'm sure I could probably find the answer to this in the archives, but I wasn't able to get them to work yesterday or today. I'm having a problem with my idle when the A/C is on. If the A/C is on, and the cooling fan up front is on, then the van idles at about 2000 RPMs. As soon as the cooling fan shuts down, the idle goes back to normal- about 950. The cooling fan (with A/C on) seemed to almost be coming on at random- sometimes on and off through several cycles. What is the connection supposed to be between the cooling fan and the A/C in terms of when it is triggered on? Most of this was happening before the engine was even heated up to temperature. Anybody had a similar problem? Any suggestions for what to work on are appreciated. Thanks Mark Schrope '89 Wolfsburg
