I'm a newbie to the list and a 55-south wannabee. I've been reading your stuff for some time and have found a '90 non-Westie conversion that I am interested in buying. A few weeks ago one of the volks posted a wonderful list of what one should look at when buying a used van. Unfortunately, I erased it and it doesn't seem to be in the archives. Would whoever it was please pmail it to me (today, if possible)? My office address is jmmaly@jordandrews.com (California time zone) and my home address is jeannemaly@msn.com. The seller is a patient kind of guy, but I would hate to miss a great opportunity by procrastinating. I'm also afraid to buy without knowing the condition of the things that seem to repeat and repeat on the list. I will probably take it to AAA for diagnostics. I know that VW also does diagnostics. Which do you think would be better? TIA Jeanne Maly |
