Tried the dealer route. Because this is the O2 sensor he is unwilling to treat it as a simple removal but insists on charging full labor for replacing the O2 even if he will be simply removing the old. That is $60 here. It's an attitude that is fairly common in this military town (Norfolk, Va.) and is one of the major reasons I find myself crawling around under my Westy as often as I do. There is also the "Macho" aspect. Having once "assaulted" the sensor and been repulsed I cannot find in myself a willingness to retreat to the dealer leaving the sensor in possession of the battlefield ("Rocky" theme playing in the background). Dealer = surrender and I am not ready for that yet.
