I am a firm believer in Mobil One, Ihave used it seems like forever...my three older cars and bus all have over 200K on them,,,one Jetta diesel has 300K and has used Mobil One 15w50 in all of them. I change it every 3K and use only VW filters. My 87GL has about 190K on it and no oil related problems at all...now the extra cost of a Mobil One change over standard oil is about 15bucks...times the 6-7 oil changes a year that I do on that bus and I figure I spend an extra hundred bucks..last quote I got for a new engine was $3500...so I think it is a wise investment.....my husbands Jetta diesel still runs like a champ after 300K...so I quess the proof is on the road in our family,,not in the checkbook or repair shop.... just bought a new 98 Cabrio and as soon as I have 3K on it, it will get Mobil One 15w50....Cathy....
