It depends alot on the primary usage of the van. For a lot of off-roading or driving in snow/ice I would recommend the locker. However if this is you "daily driver" spending many miles on pavement around town the locker may prove to be annoying un-locking & re-locking as you go around corners. For this duty the limited slip may be more attractive.

Klammath Falls? Bend? I've driven 97 in that area many times, and several times on snow/ice on my treks between Spokane & southern California. Once (New Years '92) I drove south from Spokane through eastern Washington and central Oregon and didn't drive on a significant stretch of pavement until I was back in California! Glad I was driving my Syncro!
