I have an owners manual from 1982 lying around, which states that the heater that was offered as an extra was the BA6 for gasoline engines, and the DA6 for the diesels. By the way, the correct name for those is "Eberspächer", and your Bosch dealer should be able to get any parts as the company is a division of Bosch. My 73 t-3 square even has a factory-installed Eberspächer BN2
