Excuse me for not having read the whole thread, but wasn't someone thinking of a 5 HP motor for this?

5 HP at 746W/HP = 3730W / 80% efficiency = 4662W / 12V = 388 Amps. Even at 2 HP you're looking at drawing 155 Amps. The 12V DC to AC inverter and/or the 12V charger for this size would be very expensive and heavy.

But I like the stationary AC idea. If it's only used when plugged into outside AC power such as at a RV place. I could see it being done with a hermetic compressor/motor unit out of a window AC unit. This could be plumbed in parallel with the stock AC unit. Both the stock unit and the stationary one would need check valves.

I wonder how this would work. Ideas?
