------------------------- Hi, I agree with you Mr... Ethan Allen, just a quick note to say removing the rods with pistons attached from the crank worked for me also. It is tight in there and I broke a 3/8 inch drive universal removing rod bolts. There is a lot of carbon and varnish build up on the ends of the risk pins and they are much easier to press out with the piston and rod out of the engine. Of course after the pins are once removed and risk pins and piston holes cleaned with one of those green scratch pads they will slide back in freely. So I install the rods on the crank , then slid the jugs partially on the pistons then install the risk pins. A pair of hemostats small surgical pliers) work great installing and removing the risk pin circlips , curved ones work best on the inside cylinders, and straight ones are better on the outside ones. .
