In all fairness, Ron has been busy of late, what with a new addition and
such. But like him, I am receiving a few hundred e-mails each week and
have gotten behind in answering because I'm busy packing & shipping stuff.
I try to answer each and everyone of them within 24 hours, 48max, but there
have been a few falling through the cracks (i don't delete anything coming
to me directly, thanks to those wonderful filters).
As an example, I had 62 pieces of mail this morning for all kinds of things
in addition to at least 120+ postings from various lists I'm subscribed to
(I read these later in the evening unless something perks my interest or I
have something to contribute).
Sinus infection and Strep throat these past few days haven't helped either.
Doctor wants me to take a week off (yeah, right, like I can afford it
after a visit to him and the cost of prescriptions [I hate pills - I could
never be a druggie]).
Calling me is most of the time the best way as well. However, if you do
receive the phone machine, please don't be afraid and hang up. Leave your
name and number and best time to call if you're not at the number given. A
lot of times I will be on my other line, but can monitor your call coming
through and many times I've been able to pickup in the course you leaving a
message. In other cases, I will be out in the garage packing stuff or over
at my "bulk warehouse" a few miles away pulling orders, so of course I
can't hear it right then.
The hardest time to reach me by phone is after 3PM to about 7PM Pacific
Time. This is when I'm on the road to the Post Office, UPS and usually
having my first meal of the day. But I can be reached most evenings after
7PM and I'm usually up pretty late (talked to a customer last night around
11:30 Pacific), so don't feel bad about calling then. Morinings are pretty
busy too (I walk into the bedroom office at about 7 Pacific). And I can be
reached most Saturdays and Sundays if a show isn't going on somewhere.
Having my On-Line Catalogs on the website has definitely lowered the email
traffic. People have their answers and usually just call or email their
orders in. And the Vanagon sections are finally being uploaded this week
(Thursday or Friday), so I know that will help as well. Although I don't
have a fancy searchable database like Ron will, stuff's pretty easy to find
with the selectable indexes in each catalog section.
Ron - Hang in there - just remember, the worst is yet to come <grin>.
To The List - As always, thanks for your patience and support
Both Ron and myself want serve you as best as we humanly can. I know he
busts his butt as hard as I do (with a growing family, it can be harder to
do anyway - all I have to worry about is making sure that cat is fed on
time here).
