Not completly true on #1. ABS can help you stop faster: All cars have their front/rear brake balence set up as a compromise. It is set for a typical driving and loading situation. Some cars have a proportioning valve that adjusts for deceleration rates or rear ride height but they can not sense the locking of a wheel. ABS can and does just this. Most ABS systems are 3 channel and take an average for the rears, some have 4 channel and do adjustments for each wheel. This allows you to stop not only with control but also faster. Each wheel does the best that friction will allow. |
