Today I was able to take a few tem readings on another 1.9L and they were the same as on my 1.9L.150 at muffler,175 at muffler shield and 220 at right side header pipe. Seems the plastic shield around the harness can hold up to this high tem on the muffler shield where it lays.As for me the harness will never again rest on the muffler shield. The 02 sensor was bad causing major hesitation and engine surging and along with me forcing the engine as must as I could probably cause even higher tem on the muffler shield.and with a oil filler tube not making a good seal at the clamp some small drops of oil were being thrown on the muffler shield and a small fire started, which caught the harness on fire and as the plastic shield burnted thru the wires shorted together and there went the whole harness. For all that took an interest Thank you and for those who didn't Thank you anyway Marcus |
