Since there a bunch of bright and knowledgable folks on this list ... Some of the electric heaters for home use have sealed chambers full of some kind of salt that absorbs heat quickly and then disperses it slowly. Seems like one ought to be able to buy a sealed can of this stuff, or a couple of them, throw them on the Westy stove, heat 'em up, and then stick them in a couple of locations to warm the inside of a camper. But what's the salt? Where do you get it? and is this an efficient way of heating a van (while waiting for the sun to come up, for instance)? Mark Hineline |
