Urgent! Planning to go on vacation in 3 days and need to get 86 Vanagon GL running!

Here's the story:

Had a problem with the dreaded hiccups, after trying many things, found it was the hall sender. OK, ordered new distributor and while I was at it ordered new cat and muffler (because the cat was rattling and the mufffler was falling apart) and an O2 sensor just for kicks.

Received all yesterday and installed. I made sure I marked everthing as it came off and am almost 99% sure that it all went back the way it came off.

Problem: runs, but almost no power and if run for more than a few minutes at 2000+ rpm the cat actually begins to glow!! Before I did anything the Van ran fine (other than the occasional stumbling) so I must be missing something very obvious. Please help!!!!
