Jim,
Thanks for the info, that's just what I hoped to find. Those tooth
counts give 5.86 for my DZ, and 5.43 for the DM. No wonder my Westy
cranks so fast at highway speeds! The Golf engine and 235-15 tires
should help that some. Really appreciate your taking the time to
research this. It's great to have such a resource, especially since the
"factory manual" doesn't even list this box, and doesn't list the gear
ratios at all for the diesel!
