Those tooth counts give 5.86 for my DZ, and 5.43 for the DM. No wonder my Westy cranks so fast at highway speeds! The Golf engine and 235-15 tires should help that some. Really appreciate your taking the time to research this. It's great to have such a resource, especially since the "factory manual" doesn't even list this box, and doesn't list the gear ratios at all for the diesel! Larry
