For whatevr it's worth. Lacking an Aux Battery and not being too sure how long the battery would last while camping; my wife and I took a couple of Standard Kero Lanterns with us on our first trips. One thing we noticed while using them was the surprising amount of heat they put out. While they cannot properly be called "heaters" they certainly can serve to take the edge off of things on even some pretty cold days and allow you to remove your coat and be comfortable with a sweater or sweat shirt. This without paying several hundred dollars for "real" heaters and without mounting the engine on the luggage rack and running pipes to the trailer that contains the aux tank that supplies the.....
