Several weeks ago, I read several posts to the list about problems with wind noise that occurred after replacing the gasket on the front of the top - the luggage carrier.

Well I had already ordered mine from the Bus Depot and was wondering if I was going to have problems. Replaced the gasket and sure enough, when I got it on the road at over 60mph, there was a terrible racket. Sounded like it was going to fly off. Wife was not pleased.

So I had her help me fix the problem. I loosened the two screws on the front and the two on the sides, had wife climb up and sit in the luggage carrier depression and then re-tightened the screws.

All my rattles went away! Guess the problem wasn't the gasket at all but rather the 'procedure' I used to do the final adjustment.

ps. My wife only weighs about 130 lbs. And yes, I did let her get back down after I tightened the screws.
