Subject: Westy Safety
Comments: To: Vanagon@VANAGON.COM

Hi all,

I am looking to purchase my first Westy after a string of VW cars. My fiancee is not too keen on what whe perceives as a death trap on wheels. I can't help but agree that a head-on collision in a vanagon might be less than comfortable for those in the front seats. But I don't care. Help me out if you can - I need some ammunition to help convince/pursuade her that the Westy isn't as bad as it seems. Links to Crash test results? Personal experience? Is she right, and I am just fooling myself?

Thanks Folks,

Chad 84 Jetta GLI 85 Scirocco 8v
