Subject: screens for front doors

pending some upcoming camping trips i decided i needed cheap screens for the front doors (80 westy). happened across do it yourself screen stuff at local hardware superstore (Home Depot). Screen frame comes in six foot sections (less than $2 USD). Corner pieces where <$1.

I made a small rectangular screen frame. this frame can slip into the window channels when the front window is rolled down. pop-riveted weather stripping on bottom screen frame (only drill thru one side of the screen frame). put screen into window, roll up window slightly (hits bottom screen frame) to hold secure. looks good and seals tight. can get screen frame in white, brown, aluminum finish. material cost (screening, roller, rubber thing you squish into frame, weatherstripping, frame) was about $6 per side. bad thing is you have to store these screens somewhere (between pop-top bed)

also figured out that if you flip the top bed so it points straight up, you can then lower the pop-top so it rests on the edge of the bed. I do this to relievce the stress when zipping/unzipping the screen/flap.
