I am really happy that the List could help Dave make his vacation and also
instill him with the confidence of knowing his vehicle.
This is what the List is all about as far as I am concerned.  Helping others
with thier vans and by doing that helping them be able to have fun and have
more confidence in what they drive and thier own mechanical skills.
Also I think of the List as a group of friends that although diverse can get
along and while we are sharing information about our vans can also share a
little about ourselves.  After all what would Volkswagen be without the
"Volks"?
I hope the List stays this way and doesn't become what some of the critical
folks during the latest flame wars were calling for "strictly information
about VWs only".  Yes I like to learn more about the vehicle but also about
the person who is driving it and how helping them will make a difference in
thier life (like Dave getting to take his vacation).
So I say keep the List a place where people can be themselves and keep it
focused on Vanagons as well of course.
