<< Thanks to all who responded to my diesel question (slow starting when hot). The Vanagon is back in the shop today to have a new cold start cable installed which was ordered when the rebuilt injector pump was installed. Injectors will be checked, so maybe the problem will be solved. I'll report the results when I get it back next week. James Berry Pike Rd, Alabama >> Hi James, what does the cold start cable have anything to do with a hot start problem? As long as you have 400 lbs or more of compression, timing absolutely correctly set ( advance timing from .88 to .98 ), new or good injectors and diesel fuel that isn't Texaco ( use Chevron, BP, union 76 etc ) , you shouldn't have any problemos. Good luck. Michael Modl. 87 syncro
