I just took a set of gauges off of a 1986 Audi 4000 last weekend. The pressure gauge sender was screwed to the side of the block, one wire coming off it. About 1.5" diameter round. The connection on the pressure sender can be connected directly to the pressure gauge, along with neg. and pos. power and you will get a pressure reading. I have tried this. In the above situation (parts from 1986 Audi 4000 and installing in something else), the dynamic light system and the high and low pressure switches are not involved in getting the pressure gauge to work. The oil temp sender looks like a water temp sender (same small size) and is connected to the gauge in a similar manner. I guess the voltage should be stabilized to get accurate readings, power supply from existing gauges?
