------------------------- This seems like an excellent solution to me. I think it would work great. All that is needed would be the proper compressor size to mount under the van. The only problem I see is finding the right compressor. A large window unit compressor looks good at first but I think most window units use r22. I will check with a retired a/c service man who is a good friend of mine, maybe the compressors will pump either refrigerant . He knows all the ins and outs facts and figures and has many books. If it is as hot in Memphis as Southern Illinois I understand why you are concerned with a/c. It hasn't been very hot and humid here.
