That's funny. Last week Cory sent me a spare gas tank in case I ever need
one and it was missing the associated hardware and gas gague. (I should a
known Tim was behind this!) I think we split this area of his van.

funny that you say this as I forget year after year and have posted how
easy it is to forget so I am not suprised you forgot yourself. It must be
the pain of airing down and back up that makes one forget. But unless your
front lower control arm is truly impaled on an embedded telephone pole, or
your are otherwise truely and badly high centered, airing down will almost
always get you unstuck. Print out this paragraph, cut it out with sissors,
and tape it to your jack or diff lock knob as a reminder.
I use Oasis air down things. You screw them into your tires and keep
driving. Five mins later, your tires are at about 18psi each. Then you
unscrew them and put them away until the next time. Rip-off $35 in 4x4 mag
ads.
I suggest 18 psi as minimum unless you are going into soft sand with no
rocks. And even then I've never been below about 13-14.

bye.
I cannot believe 4-6psi.
My friend just bought a high lift. I think he paid about $60 or something.
Consider shortening it a little so it will fit under the back seat. Be sure
to get the "rebuild kits" from high lift company. The jack will just cease
to function when you really need it, and you need those repair parts for
the jack with you on the trail or you may find out it is useless. Also,
carry a can of PAM along--or your favorite lube-- to lubricate it frequently.
