Hi Mark, The digifant tool was built because I felt the need / desire for a breakout box ( some test points between the digifant and the fuel injection cable) . So a tool was made to provide all 25 pins digifant pins for easy probing . I added 6 LEDs for all the digital information going to and from the digifant. It is necessary at present to use a digital meter to probe the analog signals, temp1, temp2, oxygen, and afm wiper. This is a done deal. The instructions for making this tool are located at Http://taos.midwest.net/vw I will make a few digifant tools for those who don't care to make their own. With the digifant tool one can diagnose digifant problems. However we want and deserve more as we are elitist vw owners and have the need for more and more information and the best tools possible with todays technology . Many if not most desire / require a LCD display mounted on the dash instead of using a breakout box / meter. This feature is under development. Things being discussed and considered are a laptop interface, stamp type technology, to monitor lubrication , coolant , electrical as will as digifant. Thanks for your input and interest.
