I have added 3 extra doughnuts per side to the 1 that came from the factory, so I have now 4 doughnuts per side. I bet that these 4 doughnuts do not raise the van as much as might seem, however, for each of them has a little hollowed out ring in the middle to allow for insetting of the spring, so they have effectively slightly less thickness in their middles than they do at their outer edges. For this reason, it is not an entirely accurate test for us to measure whether the van is lifted the same thickness as the doughnuts since the doughnuts are likely to be compressed somewhat, and are thinner in their middles. > Just how did you determine that the spring is additional compressed? >Did you take measurements before and after and find the height of the van to >be equal? If the body of the van is lifted, by the same amount as the spacer I have a concern about the definition "same amount as the spacer" see my paragraph above. >than your argument falls apart.
