Hi Vanagonians My local mechanic has deduced my intermittent stall problem to either the coil, a coil attached to the distr (forgot the name), or heaven forbid the ECU. My bus has the wire harness fix. There is power to the main coil. (It has worked fine for several years but now the intermittent shut off problem is back) The trick is having the bus make the problem long enough to get it to the mechanic. Usually the problem goes away after a few minuites or hours. Once overnight. It dies cold turkey with no spark coming out of the high tension coil lead but there is power to the coil. Should I replace the coil first. I have not been able to do a coil resistance check because the problem has been so intermittent.\ Anybody know if the ECU is testable? Remanufactured? Where is a good place to find one for the best price? Thanks Aaron |
