Some of the connector plastic melted and interfered with the connection. I searched for a reason for the connector to overheat but could find no external reason. I thinkk that perhaps my #2 speed circuit was not making a good connection there and it caused the overheating. I finally bypassed the 4-wide VW connector for the #2 circuit and installed another connector. The connector is approximately between the driver and front passenger's heads. To get to it, you'll need to remove the front AC duct section above the windshield and the duct piece connected to it. Good luck, Jim Davis |
